Born 1963 in KaoHsieung, Taiwan. My painting style was developed based on the part of "Concerning the Spiritual in Art" emphasized by Kandinsky in "Expressionism painting".
I attach importance to the development and exploration of human beings' knowledge in our spiritual field.

CHANG CHENG WEI

Zhang Xu (fl. 8th century) was a Chinese calligrapher and poet of the Tang Dynasty. Legend has it that whenever he was drunk, he would use his hair as a brush to perform his art, and upon his waking up, he would be amazed by the quality of those works but failed to produce them again in his sober state. After experiencing the essence of his calligraphy art, I express them in my artistic language.

This work expresses a physiological phenomenon that is very important to human beings, Sympathetic dysfunction.
If prolonged, however, the stress signals whizzing through the body wreak havoc. 
So, while the “fight-or-flight” response serves a purpose, you don't want it switched on all the time.
I use abstract expressionism to express these difficult-to-quantify phenomena and visualize them.

This work was created by feeling the psychological changes of a person with Schizophrenia which is a mental disorder characterized by delusions, hallucinations, distortions in thinking, emotional and behavioral changes. He has suppressed disorderly behavior which is uncontrollable all day long. I accompanied my son through two very difficult years and now he is able to reintegrate into society with medication and strong willpower. Yes, he is a person who is a very brave fighter in life.

In the paintings, I hope to exude vitality, to convey a message of vitality, and to make people who are strangers to the incomprehensible power of "HOPE" believe that in this power to make all dreams come true.
"Hope" is to "believe" and "pursue" the real existence of "happy state", and to maintain a good state of mind for all the unfortunate and boring things. 

Hope is some kind of the inexplicable power that makes all dreams come true. In Greek mythology, "hope" was the last thing left in Pandora's Box.

I wish all people in the world would get rid of the comfortable environment as much as possible, just go upward, and there is no need to listen to the words and excuses of those give up. As long as you have any enthusiasm, you can develop into a light, just like a firefly, which, although it can only give out a very faint light, can also shine glittering in this deep darkness, which is not to be ignored.
We should all bravely shine our own light.

I have always had a passionate desire to explore the diversity of life forms. In particular, I was fascinated by the discovery of life messages that existed in very overt environments, but were fundamentally opposite and very subtle. These diversity of life forms always balance a universe properly, even when there is a huge contrast between the size and nature of each other.
